Welcome to Punlaan
Since it began in 1975, Punlaan has provided holistic education and training to women from all walks of life, without discrimination of creed or social background. It aims especially to help women with fewer means to acquire the general culture and the specific formation needed to work in tourism-related establishments. Aside from proportioning academic and technical skills, a distinct feature of its educational approach is the emphasis placed on character-building and work ethics. While in Punlaan each person’s conscience is respected, teachers and students alike encounter a desire to spread the Christian ideal and outlook on life.
The Punlaan School is a project of the Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. (FPTI), a non-stock, non-profit organization that establishes schools directed to provide professional training in the areas of home and institutional services, technology and management. These schools receive funding from individual donations and from some private sector institutions. The spiritual attention and doctrinal formation in these schools are entrusted to Opus Dei, a Personal Prelature of the Catholic Church. FPTI is accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC).
